At Leas Park Junior School we are fully aware of the risks associated with the use of the internet and electronic devices. Our aim is to ensure that all pupils are aware of the various steps they can take in keeping themselves safe online. Our school is committed to promoting the safe and responsible use of the internet and ensuring the whole of our community including staff, students and parents are kept up to speed with technological changes and their associated issues. There are many different applications on the internet that young children can download and use, however there are lots of apps that young children might try to access. Common apps might include Whatsapp, Snapchat and Facebook. Many of these apps require a sign in or might be signed in. As a school we block access to these apps however when pupils go home they may try and access these apps. To protect your child outside of school we recommend using safe guards similar to school to protect your child.
